Crisis argumentation during the press conferencies of government by using grice's maxims
Březinová, Markéta ; Šoltys, Otakar (advisor) ; Kučera, Štěpán (referee)
Submitted bachelor thesis focuses on the crisis communication in politics and on Grice's maxims applied there. In its theoretical part the thesis analyses the terms crisis and crisis communication. It sets the criteria on which the recognition of crisis is based, as well as it offers theories on how one should create and use arguments in these particular situations. Besides that, the thesis also evaluates general argumentation skills used by politicians during unfavourable times and compare them with principles Paul Grice defined as the base for successful communication. The theoretical part hence furthermore describes Grice's maxims, as well as it monitors Czech politics in selected period and necessary context. Second part of the thesis uses semiotic analysis to examine press conference speeches of selected politicians during the government crisis in March and April 2012 and searches for Grice's maxims used there. It also notices the use of language and the character reflection in their speech. With all that, the thesis fills in the gap in Czech literature focused on effective crisis communication in politics.

Voska, Ondřej ; Trunečka, Ondřej (advisor) ; Šimoník, David (referee)
In this paper, I deal with the issue of press conferences after matches of 1st soccer league. My goal is in the first place to describe press conferences as a part of public relations and as one of main and most important categories of respondents interacting with journalists. In the first part of my master thesis I examine sports journalism and its specifics and differences against other fields of this profession. For research itself I used techniques of observation and questioning, but mainly I worked with the data gained during interviews and information obtained by myself, as an involved observer. During my observation I have visited 14 press conferences throughout one season of 1st soccer league in total that took place all around Czech Republic. The goals of researching these events were its course, specifically how long the events were and in which environment, but also what are the rules for its organisation and how those rules are complied. Another subject of my research was a position of a spokespersons and work of journalists, whose job is to question. I was also interested in a manner of questioning and topics of questions in this area. Which political party is best able to use my CT24 for promotion?
Tykal, František ; Hudík, Marek (advisor) ; Svoboda, Miroslav (referee)
The work deals with the time on public television ČT24. The television broadcast press conferences and briefings of the political parties. However, posting this in the public interest, as defined by the policies themselves, thus maintaining the principle of proportionality as a real political influence in society? Press conferences are inherently political confrontation with reporters who ask the questions that interest them, and to reflect citizens' interest in finding out relevant information. In many cases, politicians have deliberately omitted the questions of journalists, which is obviously very convenient for a politician, because this time it is broadcast by the de facto only unpaid advertising himself and his party. The aim of this work is to determine whether the presence of press conferences in the broadcasting ČT24 corresponds to the proportional distribution, based on the results of election to the Parliament. Which party is best able to take advantage of this way ČT24 broadcast time to promote her? Initial data comes from the television archives from 2006 until 2011. These data will be spread over smaller time intervals according to specific policy preferences in a given period and the intervals will be examined whether the occurrence of the Conference of Parties meets the requisite distribution.
